I was commissioned by Sea Watch to create an illustration for their 2025 Artivism calendar. The brief was to create artwork that reflected the idea of community and working together. The calendar itself was printed and sold to raise money for their vital work.

Colorful border with rainbows, purple hearts, green leaves, pink flowers, and white stars on a light blue background.
Colorful border featuring rainbows, purple tulips, pink flowers, green leaves, white stars, and pink flowers on a light blue background.
Doodle-style illustration with various icons and the words 'SAVE PEOPLE, NOT BORDERS' written across the center. Icons include weather symbols, people, hearts, flags, and outdoor items, all drawn with blue lines.
Illustration of multiple hands holding each other in a circle, with the words 'save people, not borders' in the center, surrounded by stars and abstract shapes, all in blue lines.

These were the initial sketches I submitted to the client for review. I challenged myself to represent as many different types of people as I could. It was also important for me to have bold lettering for the statement the client wanted included in the design.
